Lochshiel Estate is on the west coast of Scotland and lies between Loch Moidart and Loch Shiel and with a frontage along the entire length of the River Shiel. The nearest village, Acharacle is about 2 miles away and it has a general store, bakery, and outdoor shop. There is also a hotel, guest house and garage.

The nearest towns are Mallaig and Fort William, about 50 minutes  and one hour away by road respectively. The nearest station is at Lochailort, about 20 miles away. Trains run from here to Mallaig and to Fort William and then continue to Glasgow. There is a direct night sleeper service from London to Fort William.

To get there by car take the A82 Glencoe road. Just after Onich as you continue to Fort William there is a turning to the left signposted Corran Ferry. Take the ferry across to Ardgour and on the other side turn left towards Strontian and Salen. Go through Strontian, Salen and Acharacle.

Cross the bridge over the River Shiel and then follow the road around to the left. Take the first turning to the left and the first holiday cottage, Camus Dorche is the first house on the right down this road. The other houses are at the end of the road.
